Obi Meets Commonwealth Chief in London, Calls for Greater Youth Empowerment

Former Nigerian presidential candidate Peter Obi has met with the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland, in London, where discussions centered on the importance of youth empowerment and inclusive economic growth.

During the meeting, Obi emphasized that Africa’s progress depends largely on harnessing the potential of its youthful population through quality education, skill development, and support for innovation.

He noted that empowering young people with opportunities and resources is crucial for sustainable development, stressing that nations must invest in human capital to secure a prosperous future.
