Katsina Begins 2026 Hajj Registration, Sets ₦8.5m Deposit

The Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the commencement of registration for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The development follows the allocation of 3,479 seats to the state by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and approval by Governor Dikko Umar Radda.

A statement by the Board said intending pilgrims are required to pay a minimum deposit of ₦8.5 million, in line with NAHCON’s directive, between now and October 8, 2025. Payments are to be made through certified bank drafts in the name of the Board and submitted at its zonal offices in Funtua, Malumfashi, Dutsinma, Kankia, Daura, Mani, and Katsina.

Applicants are expected to present their National ID card, local government indigene certificate, 24 passport photographs, and e-passport for registration.

The Board urged intending pilgrims to deal directly with zonal officers for payments and inquiries, assuring them of smooth preparations for the 2026 Hajj.
