I'm absolutely thrilled to share some truly exciting news that marks a massive leap forward for agriculture and entrepreneurship in Jigawa State!
Today was a proud moment as I joined His Excellency, Mallam Umar A. Namadi, to sign a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of the 𝐉𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 with Agrighar Services Ltd. of India.
This significant step follows the successful completion of a comprehensive feasibility study by Agrighar Service Ltd., giving us a robust roadmap for success. Representing the Jigawa State Government, I signed the MoU, while the dedicated Dr. Sowmini Sunkara, CEO, signed on behalf of Agrighar.

This isn't just an agreement; it's a commitment to building a vibrant agribusiness ecosystem that will empower our people. We’re focused on driving real, measurable impact:
Empowering 10,000 Entrepreneurs:
We will train 10,000 individuals, ensuring a minimum of 50% of the beneficiaries are women. This is crucial for inclusive growth!
Creating New Businesses:
Our goal is to establish 500 new agribusiness SMEs.
Driving Value-Addition: We will create 15 new value-added products from our raw produce every single year.
Jobs and Infrastructure:
This program will result in the creation of 3 operational clusters and generate over 2,000 jobs annually.
We are moving past just farming and stepping into profitable, market-driven agribusiness. I believe deeply in the potential of our farmers and entrepreneurs, and this partnership is the engine that will help them reach their dreams.
Stay tuned for more updates as we begin this journey!
