Government Withdraws Airport Complaints Against Comfort Emmanson and KWAM 1, Announces Aviation Reforms

The Federal Government has withdrawn criminal complaints against Ms. Comfort Emmanson and music star KWAM 1 following recent unruly passenger incidents.

Ms. Emmanson, involved in an incident on Ibom Airline on August 10, will be released from Kirikiri Prisons this week, and her lifetime flying ban is set to be lifted by the Airline Operators of Nigeria. KWAM 1’s flight ban has been reduced to one month, and he will serve as an ambassador promoting proper airport conduct.

Airline staff, including ValueJet pilots, will undergo professional reappraisal, and all aviation security personnel are set for retraining to better handle disruptive passengers.

Speaking on the decisions, Festus Keyamo, SAN, stressed that while clemency was extended, safety and security remain a top priority in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
